The Traditional High-MOQ Barrier vs Modern Flexible Manufacturing
For decades, the biggest obstacle for emerging fashion designers and streetwear entrepreneurs has been the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) enforced by legacy apparel factories. Traditional garment factories typically demand orders of 500 to 2,000 units per style, requiring thousands of dollars in upfront capital and leaving founders with massive inventory risk.
At Nevear, we have redesigned the production supply chain to accommodate emerging brands. By offering low minimum order quantities starting at just 50 pieces per style, fashion entrepreneurs can test their market demand, validate fit aesthetics, and iterate rapidly without holding dead stock.
Step 1: Defining Your Brand Aesthetic and Core Silhouettes
Rather than launching a sprawling 20-piece collection, successful contemporary clothing brands launch with 2 to 4 hero products—such as a heavyweight boxy-fit t-shirt, a 450 GSM French terry hoodie, or tailored utility cargo pants.
Focusing on a tight, cohesive silhouette allows you to allocate your sampling budget effectively, ensure flawless fit consistency across sizes, and establish your brand's signature identity before expanding into wider collections.
Step 2: Developing Production-Ready Tech Packs
A tech pack is the architectural blueprint of your garment. It bridges the gap between your creative imagination and factory precision. A thorough tech pack includes front and back technical drawings, exact measurement specifications (point-of-measure graded across XS–XXL), Pantone color codes, and stitch construction notes.
Our in-house technical pattern makers at Nevear review and refine your design specifications, ensuring that fabric shrinkage allowances, rib collar tension, and shoulder drops meet premium retail standards.
Step 3: Fabric Selection, Sourcing, and GSM Weights
In streetwear and high-end casual apparel, fabric hand-feel is the single biggest determinant of perceived value. Customers immediately notice whether a hoodie is crafted from flimsy 280 GSM polyester fleece or an ultra-heavy 450 GSM 100% combed cotton French terry.
We source certified organic cottons, luxury loopback terry, heavy twills, and performance poly-spandex blends, pre-shrunk and custom dyed to your exact Pantone vision.
Step 4: Sampling and Pre-Production Validation
Never skip physical sampling. A prototype allows you to inspect fabric drape, test neck label comfort, evaluate wash treatments, and verify print resolution in real life.
Once you approve the initial prototype, Nevear produces a Pre-Production (PP) sample that locks in every detail for bulk cutting, stitching, and finishing.
Step 5: Launching, Pre-Orders, and Scaled Bulk Reorders
With professional photoshoot samples in hand, you can launch marketing campaigns, collect pre-orders, and build genuine community anticipation. Because your initial production run is only 50 to 100 units, you minimize warehouse carrying costs while delivering prompt fulfilment to your first customers.
As your customer base grows, Nevear seamlessly scales production from 50 pieces up to tens of thousands of units, providing consistent quality, private label hangtags, and streamlined door-to-door global logistics.
