Custom Jacket Manufacturer
Nevear makes custom jackets for clothing brands, teams and businesses, from a first run of 50 pieces per style to bulk orders of around 50,000 pieces in a single shipment.
Jackets have more parts than most garments: shell, lining, insulation, zips and snaps. Here is what to specify for each style.

- Minimum order
- Typically 50 pieces per style
- Styles
- Varsity, bomber, coach, denim, puffer, windbreaker
- Details
- Linings, insulation, zips, snaps, rib trims
- Lead time
- Samples 2–3 weeks; bulk 3–4 weeks from order
Jacket styles we make
- Varsity jackets: wool body, leather or faux leather sleeves, chenille patches.
- Bomber jackets in nylon or satin, with ribbed collar, cuffs and hem.
- Coach jackets with a snap front.
- Windbreakers and anoraks.
- Puffer and quilted jackets.
- Denim jackets; see also our jeans page.

- Parkas, fleece and softshell jackets, and chore jackets.
Materials
| Material | Character | Common uses |
|---|---|---|
| Wool or wool-blend melton | Dense, warm, takes chenille well | Varsity bodies |
| Nylon (taslan, ripstop) | Light and wind-resistant | Windbreakers, coach jackets, puffers |
| Polyester satin | Smooth with a sheen | Bombers, tour jackets |
| Cotton twill or canvas | Sturdy, ages well | Chore and work jackets |
| Leather or faux leather (PU) | Classic, structured | Biker jackets, varsity sleeves |
| Softshell | Stretchy, wind- and shower-resistant | Outdoor and team jackets |
Insulation is specified separately: synthetic fill by its weight in grams per square metre, or down by its fill power.
Linings, hardware and weather protection
- Linings: quilted, mesh, satin or fleece.
- Zips: two-way zips on longer jackets; metal or molded teeth.
- Snaps and buttons, plain or custom-branded.
- Rib knit trims, such as varsity stripes on the collar, cuffs and hem.
- Hoods, fixed or detachable.
- Weather protection: a water-repellent coating sheds light rain; a fully waterproof jacket needs waterproof fabric and taped seams.

Branding on jackets
- Chenille and embroidered patches, the varsity classic.
- Embroidery on the chest, back or sleeve.
- Screen print or heat transfer on nylon and satin.
- Custom snaps, zip pullers and printed linings.
- Woven labels and hangtags.

Minimums, samples and pricing
Our minimum is typically 50 pieces per style. Jackets with custom-dyed fabric or custom hardware can involve supplier minimums of their own, so the quote confirms the minimum for your exact spec.
The price depends mainly on the shell and lining fabrics, insulation, hardware, decoration and quantity. Read what MOQ means, or see how our pricing works.

Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum order for custom jackets?
Typically 50 pieces per style. Custom fabrics or hardware can affect it, so the exact minimum is confirmed in your quote.
Can you make varsity jackets with chenille patches?
Yes: wool bodies, leather or faux leather sleeves, rib trims and chenille or embroidered patches.
What is the difference between water-resistant and waterproof?
A water-resistant jacket has a coating that sheds light rain. A waterproof jacket needs waterproof fabric or a membrane and taped seams so water cannot get through the stitching.
Do you make leather or faux leather jackets?
Yes. Specify real or faux leather in the tech pack; faux leather (PU) is lighter, usually cheaper and easier to care for.
How long does a sample take?
Samples typically take 2–3 weeks, and the sample cost is stated in your quote. Once you approve the sample, bulk orders are usually delivered 3–4 weeks from the order date, including shipping.
